CALL FOR ARTISTS

Calling all artists, creatives, and dreamers. We want you to be a part of the second Golden Gallery interactive art exhibit at Burning Man, August 28—September 4, 2022.

The Golden Gallery is a 12′ x 8′ space looking to feature a variety of artists.

Painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, graphic artists, mixed media, illustrators, technologists, mixologists, performance artists, whatever you can dream up, we want it all!

This is perfect opportunity for artists that don’t have the means to get a large scale piece to the playa – show us a tiny version of it! Not able to go home yourself this year? Send your art instead!

2022 THEME

Waking Dreams

The 2022 Burning Man theme will explore the transformative power of dreams, both literal and figurative, and celebrate the dreamers who channel this potent energy in eye-opening, often surrealistic, sometimes life-changing ways. Because after all what is Black Rock City if not a collective manifestation of the community’s dreams?

“I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?”

Zhuang Zi

What dreams do you find yourself commonly waking up to? How has Burning Man been dreamlike for you? What if this was all a dream within a dream?

“The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do.”

– Sarah Ban Breathnach
